Coming Up: RiverFest 2023

RiverFest 2023

One of our favorite times of year around here is rapidly approaching! Wondering what we are referring to? Whitewater rafting season, of course! Make plans to kick off the upcoming season at RiverFest 2023 the weekend of May 12th-13th.

About Riverfest 2023

Join Uptown Columbus in celebrating the start of the RushSouth Whitewater Park season during RiverFest 2023. Spend the weekend in Uptown enjoying a wide range of family-friendly fun.

There will be more than 50 vendors offering everything from food to drinks to arts and crafts. Plus, there will be live music throughout the weekend!

On Friday, May 12th, festivities ramp up when Funk Factory 5 hits the stage from 6 to 7:30 p.m., playing a range of music from Top ‘40s to Motown to rock. Then Homegrown: The Zac Brown Band Experience takes the stage from 8 to 10 p.m. You won’t want to miss the “most authentic Zac Brown tribute band” out there.

Next up, on Saturday, May 13th, the fun starts at noon, and the live music picks back up at 2 p.m. with a performance by the David Ray Band. From 5 to 7:30 p.m., the audience will be entertained by Money Shot, a rock-and-roll band playing hits from the ‘80s, ‘90s and 2000s.

Bringing RiverFest to a strong finish is Nuthin’ Fancy – Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band, who is set to play from 8 to 10 p.m.

Location

RiverFest 2023 will be held in Woodruff Park, located at 1000 Bay Ave., and along the Dillingham Street Bridge in downtown Columbus. Admission to RiverFest is free all weekend long.

Don’t forget to visit Uptown’s other nearby attractions, such as the Splash Pad, RushSouth Whitewater Park and the Blue Heron Zipline, for starters!
