New Restaurant Spotlight: The Animal Farm Columbus

The Animal Farm Columbus

This is one of those stories where Columbus natives grow up and go off and learn lots of cool things. Then they come back home and share what they learn. In this case, it happens to involve a perfect partnership and culinary delights being served at The Animal Farm Columbus, a new restaurant on 12th Street.

The New Restaurant

In a nutshell, The Animal Farm Columbus offers fine-cut meats, to-go sandwiches, craft cocktails and more.

The idea behind the restaurant is that of both Owner, Operator and General Manager Hudson Terrell and Owner, Operator and Chef Landon Thompson. Not only are they a specialty butcher shop, but The Animal Farm Columbus serves lunch and dinner too. Both menus focus on house-cut meats as well as seasonal, locally-grown produce.

However, the similarities slow down there. The lunch menu is geared toward busy workers with a quick lunch break looking for a good grab-and-go option. The dinner menu shifts from fast-casual in-and-out to casual-fine dining.

One constant? High-quality products made with fresh ingredients and freshly made.

The Menus

First of all, the “sammies” are served with a side of fries or tots. A potential new lunch favorite could be the Je Me Rends. The dish embodies self-proclaimed “French simplicity” with a warm baguette, European style butter, thinly sliced cured ham, arugula, and herbed crème fraiche. Click here for the lunch menu.

Ready to have a different kind of dining experience with friends? Check out The Animal Farm Columbus for dinner.

This menu has an emphasis on “shared” plates. We think that means there is enough to share with friends, but you might not want to spare a bite! Choices range from burgers to salads and soups to Pigs in a Blanket. For the full menu, click here.

Did we mention they have a fully-stocked drink menu too? We think it’s the perfect time to order the Wicked Witch!
