Located in the same building as the Success Academy on 17th Avenue in Phenix City, the Virtual Learning Academy was established in July 2020 after $500,000 in renovations to the space. Once renovations finished, they could finally go live! Ever since, they have offered an alternative for parents and students to choose for online schooling.

What grades does the Phenix City Virtual Learning Academy teach?

The numbers have fluctuated over the past few months. Since some teachers have been able to step back into their brick-and-mortar schools, their ranks have dropped from a high of 70.

As of early January 2021, the Academy employed 58 teachers. Thirty-five of them teach grades kindergarten through fifth grade, and the remaining 23 teach grades sixth through eighth.
