The new Southern Roots Country Store in Uptown Columbus officially opened on August 5. Initially, their second location was slated for an April 1 unveiling, but COVID-19 interrupted their plans.

After a successful first day, word of mouth has spread—and people love what they’re serving. Even better, this second shop is also a big step forward, as the Southern Roots Country Store is becoming a franchise!

What’s on the menu?

We can’t talk about delicious food without going through the menu at Southern Roots Country Store. Some of the tasty options they offer are:

  • Chicken salad sandwiches on croissants;
  • Frito nachos, called “Fronchos”;
  • Root beer floats;
  • Buffalo chicken quesadillas;
  • Banana pudding;
  • Turkey sandwiches on Texas toast;
  • Strawberry shortcake in a jar;
  • PB&J paninis;
  • And more.

They will be open on Tuesday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 5 p.m.
